Choosing an armoured window
Safety and energy saving are now the primary needs of any home. Installing security doors and windows is a difficult task as it is governed by "classifications" and "regulations" that can confuse even the experts. To guide the customer towards an optimal choice, S.L. Sabatino will explain the safety classifications in detail.
Safety classifications
The standard that classifies the anti-burglar resistance of doors and windows is UNI ENV 1627, and assigns products that pass the tests an increasing class from 1 to 6, based on resistance to conventional burglary tests carried out by mechanical devices and specialised operators.
- EN 1628 static load tests
- EN 1629 dynamic load tests
- EN 1630 manual attachment tests
The Modulblock Klima security door and window
S.L. Sabatino's Modulblock Klima armoured door and window frames are made of wood-coated steel, and offer excellent thermo-acoustic values and high aesthetic level finishes, which have obtained class 4 anti-burglar certification: the maximum for a glazed window (considering that in class 5 and 6 disc wheels are used that are able to cut any type of double glazing used for civil dwellings); certification that attests to the presence of an armoured glass class UNI EN 356/2002 (test of resistance to manual attack) P6B resistant up to 50 blows of hammer-axe and class UNI EN 1063 (test of resistance to firearm shots) BR1 resistant up to 3 shots of long rifle.
